Final Roll-Out: The Story of Film is a compelling and timely story told in a non-traditional format. It is a unique perspective on a current and pressing issue facing media artists today, but one that very few people can tell in this manner. It draws an interesting parallel between the idea that celluloid-based film is ‘dead’ and the anthropomorphized idea that film has met some unfortunate or possibly scandalous fate. For film itself the stakes are high: has film finally become extinct?
